YOUNG ARTIST OF THE YEAR

The award recognises a musician or act who is under 21.

Judges will be looking for an artist who has proficiency in their instrument or voice,

exceptional songwriting, and show a commitment to their career

(showing active professional development, playing live shows, recording their work etc).

Applicants must not have been older than 21 before the end of the eligibility period.

For a band, over half were no more than 21 years old before the end of the eligibility period.
